Zhaofeng Electromechanical Research Institute was awarded as “Zhejiang Key Enterprise Research Institute” in December 2014.  In the past three years, it has completed 12 provincial-level industrial new product appraisal (acceptance), and has undertaken 1 national project, 1 provincial major science and technology project, 1 major science and technology innovation project in Hangzhou, and 2 major science and technology projects in Xiaoshan District. In the high-end automotive wheel bearing unit design, intelligent manufacturing, electric vehicle wheel hub electric drive and electronic control system and other key core technologies have achieved more research and development results, played a good role in the industry.  In 2018, it is the first year after the completion of the three-year construction period of the Provincial Key Research Institute. In August 2010, the National Human Resources and Social Security Department and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee approved the establishment of a national postdoctoral research station. Since its establishment, the postdoctoral research station has trained 5 postdoctoral fellows to complete the “in-wheel motor control”. Zhaofeng Bearing Testing Center was established in November 2006, and cooperated with Zhejiang University of Technology Mechanical Engineering Testing and Research Center. It runs according to ISO/ICE 17025-2006 CNAS testing laboratory. It is the earliest "automobile wheel bearing" in China. The accreditation of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) demonstrates the ability of laboratories to have effective data and results in both operational and technical capabilities.

The current CNAS accredited laboratory reports are mutually recognized by the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) and the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore. More than 20 countries and regions such as Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Mexico, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the United States, Vietnam and Nepal.

In October 2006, the company's enterprise technology center was rated as “provincial enterprise technology center”. In May 2010, the enterprise technology center won the advanced collective labor model medal of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou.  Since its establishment, the Enterprise Technology Center has maintained more than one hundred new products per year, and has maintained four provincial-level new products every year. It has obtained nearly 100 patents, and has led and participated in the formulation of national standards and industry.
